• Library set up at Prahlada Vidyarthi Nilaya – started with 80 reference books and text books.
• Added 50 new books to Library set up at Prahlada Vidyarthi Nilaya.

• Rs.1200 is marked as per day expense at Dharwad Nilaya. Donors can select one or more than one day by donating Rs.1200 or in multiples of 1200.
• Shri Anandateerth Guttal is co-ordinating this complete project. Separate SB account for same is opened at Canara Bank in Foundation name.
• Many donors’ have shown interest in this concept. By end of May 2011, donors have already opted for around 100 days food expense and transferred amount Akshaya Patre account.

Some Highlights

• More than 200 meritorious students from poor family background have been awarded scholarship.
• Scholarship of more than Rs.7,00,000.00 in cash awarded to students since inception.
• Complete Engg. Expenses of a girl student from poor family background studying at BVB College.We are happy to share that she got campus offer from two reputed IT companies..
• Successful "Spandana" fund raising drive through which we were able to collect corpus fund. This fund is managed by Foundation, interest earned every year is awarded as scholarship to needy students
• Successful "Sankalpa" drive which aims to identify and involve sustained donors in Nilaya Foundation work. Any donor can commit (take sankalpa) for donating Rs.100 every month towards scholarship scheme. Already we have got more then 75 donors enlisted for this noble cause.
• Successful Nilaya connect programs in the year 2008-2009
• Competition Magazines subscription to Dharwad Vidyarthi Nilaya.
• Setting up good library for Vidyarthi Nilaya students use. Library started with 50+ books but we wish to add around 500 books in next 2 years.

Beyond everything we take pride in the lifestyle of the students benefitted by our venture their academic success, dream jobs, and above all the values they inculcate being part of our program.

This academic year (2011-12) we awarded scholarships in excess of Rs.3,02,000.00. Press note was sent out to many monthly magazines and other media channels. Applications from near and far off places poured in day in and day out for a month! We received queries from Sirsi, Siddapur, Yallapur, Nanjanagudu, Mysore, Shivamogga, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Belgaum, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Davanagere, Bangalore, Hassan, Hubli, Haveri, Jamakhandi, Shahapur, Surapur, Gangavathi, Koppal, Nippani, etc.

Not only Karnataka we have got few queries even from students studying in neighbouring states! One student studying in Pune was also selected for scholarship this year.
