About Nilaya Foundation
A bright kid shines by his own light. It is so true that sincerity and hard work in a student makes him/her instantly likeable to society. The fact that the child upholds the purity of education above tempting distractions - at a young age too, is something not many of us can resist appreciating. What can be more painful than knowing that such a student is handicapped by the lack of resources to justify his/her talent? And to think in countries like our own such a case is as common as some of the more fortunate of us being able to read this!
It was similar thoughts that brought together some of us to make a difference and Nilaya Foundation was born.
Nilaya Foundation is an institution dedicated to help the economically weaker, deserving Brahmin students achieve their educational goals by providing financial help, mentoring, continued career guidance."Nilaya" or home is exactly what we at Nilaya Foundation strive to give promising, needy students so that they come out successful in their academic pursuits.
The government officially recognized Nilaya Foundation on 25th January 2006.
Main Objectives
- Providing the much needed economical support to poor Brahmin students.
- Overall mentoring of the students till completion of their education.
- Employment support.
- To hold an administrative meet at least once a year to review activities and roadmap.
- To increase the number of beneficiaries every year.
- Assessing the impact of the organization regularly.
Immediate Goals
- To extend financial support to more than 50 students in the year 2009.
- To identify Brahmin student hostels and offer free Training there.
- To identify deserving Brahmin students in centers outside our current circle of service.
